The Creation of The Wolves

The gods thought there were too many herbivores, like elk, deer, and rabbits. So they decided to create predators. But the hard part was there had to be balance. So the reason the gods didn’t create a super-smart super-strong take down machine. Was because they had rules that said there had to be balance in their creations. For example if there was a big animal it would have to be slow or dumb. Or if there was a small creation it would be smart or fast, or a little of both.

So their first creation was little carnivore bunnies. That did help with the control of the herbivores but the gods thought they were too vicious and destructive so they just destroyed them, or turned them in to regular rabbits.

   Their next creation was the wolverine. It was a fairly fast and had enough strength to take down a bull elk. But it was not the smartest bean in the bucket and could survive on almost anything, leather, dead stuff, berries, roots, etc. So it was a lazy bugger and didn’t want to put in the effort in to catching the deer or elk.

The next creation was the coyote, which had the brains and the cunning skill, but not the strength to do much damage, but it and the wolverine
